Stop letters sent using PlanWatch lists

If you got a letter that mentions PlanWatch and a planning application, you can ask us to stop. We will remove your address from every firm’s list, not just the one that wrote to you. You do not need to give a reason and it costs nothing.

  • Every firm, not just oneYour address comes off every list we supply, now and in future.
  • Straight awayIt takes effect the moment you send the form.
  • No name, no accountWe only need the address. We do not ask who you are.

This stops all mail sent using PlanWatch lists to this address.

We keep the address only so we never write to it again. How we use it

What happens next

Your address comes off every list we make.

  1. 01
    Straight away

Your address goes on our stop list. It will not appear on any list we make from now on, for any firm.

  2. 02
    Lists already made

A firm that downloads a list from us after today will not get your address, even if the list was made before you asked.

  3. 03
    Letters already sent

You may still get a letter that was already printed or posted before you asked.

Other post

This covers letters sent using PlanWatch lists only. It does not stop leaflets from other companies or Royal Mail door-to-door items. To cut down other addressed advertising mail, you can register with the Mailing Preference Service. For unaddressed items, see Royal Mail’s door-to-door opt-out.

Changed your mind?

If you would like letters again, for example because you want quotes, email hello@planwatch.co.uk and we will take your address off the stop list.

Why we keep your address

We keep it on the stop list so we do not write to you again. That is the only thing we use it for. Read the full notice.
